The beggining

Where it all started

Larbear’s Café began in 2020 with three guys deployed in Afghanistan and a single French press.
Out there, coffee wasn’t just a drink it was a moment to slow down in the middle of long days and uncertain nights. Between missions, we started experimenting with whatever beans we could find, learning how different brews could change the entire experience.
What started as a simple cup of coffee quickly became a daily ritual good coffee, good conversations, and a brotherhood built around that French press.

Upgrades

Fast forward to 2025 and a deployment to Kosovo.
This time the setup had evolved: a portable espresso machine from Odin, a grinder, and a milk frother from Amazon. What started years earlier with a French press in Afghanistan turned into something more refined.

More Upgrades

Later during that same 2025 deployment to Kosovo, the coffee setup needed an upgrade the portable espresso machine just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
So the setup grew.
A De’Longhi espresso machine was added, along with a grinder, a milk frother, and an expanding collection of Lavazza beans and flavored syrups. What started as a way to get a quick cup turned into dialing in espresso shots, experimenting with flavors, and learning more about the craft of coffee.

Future

3.0

The future of Larbear’s Café is still being written.
For now, the focus is on learning the craft, exploring new ideas, and doing the research needed to choose the right path forward. Whether it becomes a coffee cart, a café, or something entirely different, the goal remains the same
